Under The Radar #1

Everyone loves advents calendars to get them excited for Christmas and in light of this, in the build up to Christmas, I will be highlighting the most in-form players outside the Premier League that could be in line for big moves in the new year.

Name : Omar Bogle
Age : 23
Nationality : English
Position : ST
Club : Grimsby Town
Career Apps : 197
Career Goals : 104
Career so far : Hinckley United (2011/12) - 8Apps/3Goals
Solihull Moors (2012/15) - 116Apps/66Goals
Grimsby Town (2015/Present) - 73Apps/35Goals

We start with the football league's top scorer and arguably the most in form striker in the country right now, Grimsby Town's Omar Bogle. The young Englishman has been a goalscoring machine since being signed by current Grimsby manager Marcus Bignot back in 2012 for Solihull Moors. Since then, he hasn't looked back, reaching double figures in every season. After a phenomenal 2014/15 season in the National League North where he scored 29 in 41 games, he was signed for an undisclosed fee by Grimsby Town where he didn't get as many goals but his overall game improved massively. His impressive partnership with Padraig Amond led Grimsby to the playoff final where he scored twice in the 3-1 win over Forest Green. Any doubts that he'd struggle without Padraig Amond this year has been erased from everyone's minds as Bogle has thrived on the pressure in League Two this year notching up 16 goals in 18 games. Since being reunited with former manager Marcus Bignot at the start of November, Bogle found new form as he's scored 7 in 4 games propelling Grimsby up to 8th place. His pace is terrorising every defence he plays and if he continues this form there's no doubt he'll get a big move. Barnet are rumoured to have launched a club record £250,000 bid for the in-form striker but it's a move I think he should turn down as Bignot clearly gets the best out of him. At 23, it's best for him to keep developing and he's at the perfect place for that right now. In a few years, there's no doubt we'll see this man tearing defences apart in the Premier League if he avoids injury.
